Some quick info, about when and a little why we got started.
We got into quail the second half of 2013, with the hope of having home grown meat for our family. We have loved it! We have seen improvements in the size of our 3rd generation that has us really excited to keep going. We have some great stock that is everything the hype online says they are. Which sadly most quail out there are not. We are raising them for OUR FAMILY, not for mass production. We do OCCASIONALLY have a set for sale starting @$10 a bird. If you want to be put on a waiting list contact us.
Our first himalayan was bought at the Hocus Pocus 4H show in October of 2013. We have kept a few different breeds of rabbits, but Sam was the first that we fell so in love that we wanted to reproduce his And get into the Rabbit World for real.
Our Appleyards arrived in spring of 2014, we picked up two hens from Holderread, and a drake from a farm forum friend. We were overflowing with eggs until August, now we are waiting for them to get started again. This season we will also have Lucky Duck, one of our hatchlings we decided to retain for now. So the eggs will be even more plentiful 2015.
We got our first pigeon at the Oregon Spring Poultry Swap 2014, a young parlor roller cock. As these things sometimes go SHE is a lovely parlor TUMBLER. After success at fair, we agreed to go ahead and add a Fantail from the Oregon Fall Poultry Swap and accidentally ended up with two. All three are hens, but a Fantail cock is in the works.
( this please note this webpage is still getting put together as we just launched it 1/15/2015)
